Art through therapy.

Living in an artist community like Arden has taught me to take risks. I am a self-taught artist who leaned into Fluid Art to help with my military PTSD and past trauma. Creating art has healing properties for me as an artist and hopefully for those who view my art.

“Waterfall” 2022

(A cascade of water falling from a height) – The transition from military service to civilian life isn’t easy. At times I feel like I’m falling and failing. For me, the sound of falling water aids in diminishing my depression, increases my mental clarity and provides excellent emotional stability and an overall sense of well-being. Fluid Art allows me to capture movement, which can evoke the senses like sound.

Growing up in rural South New Jersey in the ‘70s and ‘80s, I spent a fair amount of time outdoors running, summer camping, and near the water. Nature spawned a deep desire to create art. Incredible sunsets and sandy beaches provide an array of colors that I love translating into my work.
